Thanks to all who came to our end of year, Christmas shows at The Vanguard in Sydney with SCLB & Love Me. Hoping a good time was had by all. Nothing like having a band room without aircon, next to a kitchen on a 43° Sydney day. I was placing ice in front of the fan which did very little. Still, we survived.
LOU REED • I’ve been in Lou Reed / Velvets 🍌mode the last couple of weeks with shows around the country. There’s still some tickets left for the second Melbourne show at 170 Russell on Fri Feb 6, all others have sold out.
PERTH • Lindy Morrison and I will be returning to Lyric's Underground, MAYLANDS with our Perth musician friends joining us for both shows on Feb 20 & 21. Greg Dear (Holy Rollers), Coo & Andy (Toys Went Berserk), John Bannister (The Fat) and Nigel Harford (White Cross) will all be adding their melodic, musical skills to what promises to be two great nights.
VICTORIA with TIM FREEDMAN • Before I head to WA I have two solo supports in Victoria with Tim Freedman (The Whitlams). It’s been decades since we’ve seen one another, let alone shared a stage. Tim plays shows as part of his Moonlit Deck tour at The Drum Theatre, Dandenong Feb 13 and The Wedge, Sale Feb 14. I’ll be there with my trusty nylon to play a mix of past & present.
CANBERRA & YASS • More dates have been added for Lindy and myself in duo mode. Tyger Gallery, YASS ~ Sat March 14, 2pm ~ promises to be an intimate afternoon soiree before we head to CANBERRA to play Smiths Alternative in the evening, starting around 6pm.
