Time flies, then slows, almost stops, speeds up again and before you know it you’re looking at the end of another year. Time.
‘Tis the season for Acoustic House Concerts and I somehow managed to squeeze one in with ‘Evil’ Graham Lee, his first ever he tells me. It was different to others as we delved back in time and played songs like “Apartment #9” and worked up “Ocean Of You”. Graham sang “Watching Re-Runs on TV” with the help of a human music stand. Thanks Ivan! Btw If you’d like to host a house concert please just let us know at RSHQ and we’ll organise it. Easy.
Next month SCLindyBand head to Sydney for two special shows at The Vanguard in King St, Newtown where we’ll be joined by our pals Love Me, Amanda Brown and Lili Alaska. Dinner and show tickets are still available. You may know Amanda Brown sings on our new album - a song penned by Lindy called “Take A Step”, ... I’ve been informed it’s Lindy’s answer to “Shout To The Top” or “I’m Still Standing” though I’d say “Take A Step” is more musical theatre meets “Twin Peaks”. It’s unique. It’s not often someone uses the word “galoshes” in a song.
Here’s Lindy & Amanda in a hotel room in Dunedin, NZ mid-Go-Betweens tour, taking a break from the REM, watching The Avengers and partaking in a vodka or two.
PERTH PERTH PERTH ...again we return in February, where it’s 30° at 9am, I do love it. I look forward to a swim at Beatty Park or Cottesloe or anywhere for that matter. Any recommendations? Roleystone Pool?
We love playing Lyric’s Underground as you may’ve guessed. Fingers crossed we’ll see you somewhere.

ps. What’s with The Avengers?
