As winter closes in we tend to play less and less. In fact our MELBOURNE launch at The Brunswick Ballroom is SCLindyBand‘s last show for a while. We’re trying to think of places we haven’t played [suggestions welcome]. Lindy and I have been kept pretty busy touring over the last year, so time to read, write and watch re-runs on TV.
Excited to be joining Reg Mombassa’s DOG TRUMPET and JVG’s jonnie goes to church for our launch on Sun June 23. The last time I saw Reg was when The Blackeyed Susans played a show in support of TV show The Noise, we both wore dark suits ... he quizzed me on my apparel. I stumbled across a tape of the show recently as I was transferring all my videos to hard drive. In the audience was Amanda Brown, on the cusp on giving birth to her Bub ... he now has a law degree! ... that’s how long ago it was. Grant McLennan was in the audience too, round rimmed sunglasses, cream suit and matching fedora. All roads lead somewhere.
Thanks to everyone who’s bought the new mini album I KNOW I KNOW and those who came along to our Sydney launch at Camelot. Let me know what you think, if you care to.
Hopefully see all our Melbourne friends at The Brunswick Ballroom for our early Sunday show. 1pm doors JUNE 23 🍂
