Wait. Look over there. Is that Lindy Morrison? The Lindy Morrison who sat behind the drum kit with legendary Brisbane seminal post-punk-pop band The Go-Betweens? Is she not the other half of a great female friendship recently written about in the beautifully crafted memoir My Rock n Roll Friend by Everything But The Girls’ Tracey Thorn? Damn right it is.
We join forces for two shows in March, starting in Brisbane before heading to Melbourne.
After a gig or two together, endless disagreements, the occasional arm wrestle and chess game ~ we have decided to play together again. Firstly, at The Bearded Lady in duo mode ~ just to make things even more difficult on a Sunday evening. Secondly, at George Lane, St Kilda with the addition of a Triffid in ‘Evil’ Graham Lee on pedal steel and the maestro Shane O’Mara on guitars.
Not for the faint hearted, but for the romantic, the readers, the writers, the displaced, the misfits, the fanatical, the lovers and the lost. Be there.
