Thrilled to say I’m releasing two songs today, old-school, double A side ~ Elena / My Friend Too ~ new school, digital.

The songs are only available on Bandcamp thus far and come from the forthcoming album Searching For The Heart Of It All - Rob Snarski and His So-Called Friends.

Elena is the tale of separation by long distance and pandemic and was one of the latter song gifts that I grew very attached to and consequently added to my setlist.

My Friend Too features the wonderful Romy Vager [RVG] singing with gusto and conviction. A song written about a misplaced memory, dealing with grief and loss, a little hot headed, impassioned and resentful.

There are two little music videos accompanying each song. Watch here:

The new album Searching For The Heart Of It All has exceeded my expectations. In fact, I’m only happy with my recordings when they do exactly that. There are some fine musician friends adding their touch to the album ... ‘Evil’ Graham Lee [pedal steel], Jack Howard [flugel horn and trumpet], Kiernan Box [piano and organ], Rosie Westbrook [double and electric bass], Ben Wiesner [drums] and singers Gareth Liddiard [TFS/Drones], Romy Vager [RVG], Rebecca Barnard {Rebecca’s Empire], Peter Milton Walsh [The Apartments] and Kelly Day [The Broads] not to forget the genius that is Shane Reilly adding strings.

Most of these fine musician folk join me for the Melbourne launch at Memo Music Hall, St Kilda on Saturday June 18. Hopefully we’ll see you there.

Searching For The Heart Of It All is now available to pre-order on CD ~ the album is scheduled for release in mid-June.
