Well hello out there ... it’s been a while.

So many shows cancelled, rescheduled and shuffled about in the hope venues open up and we hit 80% vaccination rates. I’m trying to stay positive as we have a few shows in the pipeline.

A trip to S Y D N E Y is on the cards, pencilled in for DEC 11. I’m teaming up with vivacious, Go-Betweens drummer Lindy Morrison for a double-bill with The Apartments for their first show as a full band for over 5 years. It’s at new venue Great Club in Marrickville, the capacity has just been increased and tickets 🎫 are available here.

It’s a great shame we didn’t get to play our show in Brisbane at Backbone, very disappointed about that. Another time Brisbane, in fact if anyone can recommend a venue I might head up there in solo mode.

Earlier in the year I actually made it to WA to play a festival ~ it seems like a lifetime ago. I thought I’d organise a little bit of merchandise for the shows ~ TEA TOWELS ~ and we’ve only just put them up in the Snarski shop. 100% linen, made in Russia 🇷🇺 [not sure how that happened]. Available here ~

In lockdown I’ve spent a good deal of time transferring old video tape onto a hard drive before they all turn to dust. Here’s a clip of Chad’s Tree - my first band with my brother Mark performing The Orchard ~ I’m playing bass here, shot in the studio at The Noise.

Chad’s Tree formed in 1983, played shows with John Cale, Nico, The Triffids and The Go-Betweens. Our compilation double CD 💿 Crossing Off The Miles is available here containing both albums, all the singles, early demos and 4-track recordings.

Yes, I’m still writing Song Gifts if anyone is wondering. Thankfully not as furiously as last year but more than happy to help out if anyone would like to gift someone a song.

Hopefully see you soon, stay safe.
